For the first time ever, Super Dope&Extra Lit Magazine is excited to announce that we are able to provide payment for submissions!
In the beginning, we were so small. All of our pieces were the product of generosity and the burning need to be heard. While we are still small, we are now in the position to offer compensation for submissions that are selected for publication! We hope that as our company and influence grows, we will be able to offer even more compensation to contributors.
SDEL is currently offering $25 per piece, with a 700-word minimum for journalism, op-eds, and open letters.
We are also offering $15 per poem, with a fifteen-line minimum.
The current categories of content on our website are: Film&TV, Famous People, Culture, Music, Politics, and Open Letters. We welcome pieces that fall into one or more of these categories.
If you already have a piece written, please submit your work either using the form below, or by emailing us at sdelmag@gmail.com.
If you have not yet written the piece but have ideas for an article, we accept project proposals. Please tell us your proposed article(s). Please also leave a link to some of your previous written work so we can get a feel for your voice.
Not a writer? SDEL also welcomes submissions from photographers and filmmakers of color. Please send all submissions to sdelmag@gmail.com along with a brief introduction of yourself.
All work will remain the property of the author. SDEL does not ask for exclusivity on self-submissions, though we do request first publication rights.
