SDEL Launch Party

On Tuesday, July 25th, 2017, Super Dope&Extra Lit magazine did the damn thing and went LIVE with a launch party at the Hook and Ladder Theater & Lounge.

The party was a smash hit with a SOLD OUT VIP section and several donations made on the spot. Everyone in attendance was having a great time mingling, jamming to our music (both live and recorded), eating, drinking, and being merry.
Dr. Goon & the Daily Tribune set the vibe for the evening with their kick ass set during VIP hour. A band full of extremely talented performers, Dr. Goon & the Daily Tribune takes jazz and rap and combines them for a truly incredible aural experience. The vibes, y'all. The vibes.
VIPs were able to enjoy the music stylings of Dr. Goon & the Daily Tribune while dining on delicious catered food. After a quick water and drank break, Dr. Goon & the Daily Tribune finished their set and were followed up by June Kuoch who shook us all with their profound spoken word poem America's Next Top Model.
After June, people laughed their asses off to the comedy stylings of Roshni Desai. Performing a special twenty minute set, Desai had us near tears.

It truly was a celebration of color with both POC and allies present. We also announced a little sneak peek of an event in the works for SDEL. If you weren't there, I guess you'll just have to wait and see, but I can promise you this:
It will be both Super Dope&Extra Lit.
